Create Your OWN Instagram Algorithm (A Stress-Free Approach to Growth)

i can help you get over your instagram anxiety

Background

You can hear or read my story about being hacked and starting over on Instagram here and here. This experience led me to two fundamental conclusions: Instagram is not my work (it exists to support my work) and that Instagram has to be a peaceful and joyful place.

Who Is This Journal For?

Do you ever feel like you spend half the day on Instagram ,but you're not even sure it's helping you reach your goals?

Do you know your social media habits are unhealthy, but you also know you need to be on Instagram to grow your business?

Are you overwhelmed with feelings of comparison or imposter syndrome as you scroll?

Does being on Instagram make you feel lonelier than ever?

Or do you have a community on Instagram, but you're not sure how to share your offerings with them?

Do you feel like Instagram is constantly changing the rules and you can't - or don't even want - to keep up with all the new features?

[spacer height="10px"]

I wrote this guided journal to help you pay attention to and process those feelings. They're super normal but they don't have to rule you. Instagram and it's algorithm is not the boss of you OR your business. In fact, YOU are the boss of you and your business. Instagram can be a powerful tool. Growth on Instagram is possible. Engagement on Instagram is possible. Using Instagram for your business is possible. This is all possible and you don't even have to use reels (or any feature you don't like to do it!) I promise you that from my own experience.

My goal is to help you take a careful look at your own goals, personality and energy, phase of life, emotional margins, and align ALL of those things with what Instagram can - and cannot - do for you right. After completing this journal, you will know exactly which boundaries and permissions you need to place on your social media usage.

How do you use this journal?

The journal contains 18 prompts. They're designed to be used, in order, over the space of a few weeks. You don't have to do one every day, but I would strongly encourage you not to do more than 2 or 3 in any single day. The idea is to really exhale, think, process, plan, and come out on the other side EXCITED for how Instagram can work for you and your business.

My Hope

After I was hacked and had to start from scratch, it was terribly difficult for me to use Instagram to grow the podcast. I was a little bitter, a lot frustrated. Sometimes I even felt despair. No social media platform should make us feel that way!!! My hope is that this journal will bring you some calm and contentment (without you suffering a hack). The more people I can help with their relationship with facebook and Instagram, the more I'll feel my hack was worth it!
