Welcome to The Storied Recipe Podcast!
This is a podcast where we use food as a starting point to learn about the lives, experiences, cultures, and families of everyday people (with just a sprinkling of higher profile guests). I believe everyone has a story and food is the perfect introduction to that story.

Most Frequent Questions and Answers
What is a podcast?
A podcast is just like a little radio show. New episodes of the show come out at regular intervals.
What are the main ways to listen to a podcast?
You can listen to episodes in a podcast player (like Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or Spotify). You can also listen to episodes in a browser (like Chrome, Safari, or Edge). Some listeners prefer a home device like Amazon Echo.
How often are new episodes of a podcast released?
Every podcast releases new episodes on a different schedule. Some release daily, some weekly, some monthly.
I release The Storied Recipe Podcast (almost) weekly. I release 3 Wednesdays in a row, then take a break for one week.
How long are podcast episodes?
The length of podcast episodes is very flexible. It varies from show to show. Some podcasts release very short episodes – even just a few minutes. One of the most popular podcasts in the country releases episodes that are regularly 3 or even 4 hours long.
Episodes of The Storied Recipe Podcast are usually between 60 and 90 minutes.
Are there always guests on podcasts?
Nope! Some podcasts are solo, where just one person is sharing information. Some podcasts have co-hosts, who either chat between themselves, or interview guests together.
The Storied Recipe podcast welcomes a new guest from around the world every week. On occasion, I’ll have more than one guest (for instance, a mother/daughter pair). Sometimes I’ll do a crowd-sourced episode, where lots of people share their stories about one topic. And very, very occasionally I’ll release a solo episode.
Can I listen to podcasts on any device?
You can listen to podcasts on anything with an internet connection. You can listen on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. You can also listen on devices like your Amazon Echo.
How can I be notified about new episodes?
If you subscribe in a player, you’ll get notified of new episodes whenever you open the player. However, if you’re not used to opening your player, you might forget.
The best way to receive notifications about every new episode is to subscribe to The Storied Recipe newsletter. This way, you’ll get notifications about new episodes, quick links to the latest recipe from each weekly guest, short personal updates, and free gifts and resources that I reserve just for subscribers.
