Join the #foodwomenpower IG Challenge Featuring The Storied Recipe!

Last Modified: May 4, 2021 · This post may contain affiliate links

Have you heard about this amazing opportunity that Anisa (@thewonkystove) and Dora (@mgracebackshop) are offering over on Instagram?

Anisa and Dora curate the #foodwomenpower hashtag and have proposed an Instagram challenge for the week of May 10th - May 17th.

They are challenging participants to try a NEW recipe - any recipe from a Storied Recipe Podcast guest.

How to Participate:

If you choose to participate, you simply have to make the recipe, take a picture, post it on Instagram, and tag us! That's it!! It would be amazing if you also listen to the episode related to the recipe you choose. You would also honor the story of the guest if you mention them in the caption and say why you chose their recipe.

Will there be a winner?

Yes!!!! Actually, there will be THREE!

However, this is NOT a photography challenge and winners will not be chosen based on their photograph. The point is to try and learn something NEW - to hear a story and try a recipe that may be foreign to us. So, while there WILL be a winnner, he or she will be chosen at random.

Prize #1

Huge thanks to Yessica Duque, a Storied Recipe Podcast guest herself, for sponsoring the challenge. She'll be offering a free backdrop from her backdrop shop to the randomly chosen winner. (P.S. She also contributed my husband's all-time favorite recipe from the podcast: Venezuelan Arepas with Chicken and Avocado)

Here's a photo I recently took on one of Yessica's backdrops!!

Prize #2 (and #3)

Another guest, Danielle Ellis, has offered an incredibly valuable prize to our baking friends!! Danielle is a professional bread baker and educator, a judge of the World Bread Awards, and Ambassador for The Real Bread Campaign. She is offering a 30-minute Zoom call to answer any/all of your bread baking questions to TWO winners!!!

Here's an image of the softest, fluffiest, yummiest Pesto rolls ever, shared by Danielle:

So - once again - to sum it all up:

To enter the challenge:

  1. Choose a recipe from The Storied Recipe Podcast guest.
  2. Make and photograph that recipe.
  3. Anytime the week of May 10th - May 17th share a picture of the finished dish and tag the following hashtags/people:
    #foodwomenpower
    @thewonkystove
    @mgracebakeshop
    @thestoriedrecipe.podcast
    @ydbackdrops
    @breadbakerdani

Search the Recipe Index to find a recipe, sorted by many factors: region of the world, featured protein, featured starch, app/main/drinks/desserts/baking, easy, vegan, etc;

Have fun!!!
