Welcome to The Storied Recipe, a podcast about food, culture, and love.
I've curated this list of 14 Frozen Drinks with Rum, the fourth post in my Summer Drinks Around the World series, in conjunction with Episode 175 Food, Feminism, and Fury with my podcast guest, Geraldine DeRuiterand her recipe for Nesselrode Pie.

Rum is the ultimate summer spirit. Imagine yourself on a tropical vacation, enjoying sunny days on a sandy beach surrounded by happy people, with a rum-based cocktail in hand. Classics like piña coladas and daiquiris make it easy to see why rum is synonymous with hot summer days. Originating in Barbados from the cultivation of sugarcane, rum quickly became a global success and is now often mixed with tropical fruits and fruit juices. Below are many delicious recipes that combine different types of rum and fresh ingredients that will help cool you off on a hot day on the beach or in your backyard.

How to Use This List
- Unlike the other posts in this series, I didn't categorize the rum drinks, instead, I simply listed each drink with a description beneath it.
- Some of the frozen drinks listed below aren't traditionally frozen but instead shaken in a cocktail shaker. However, I thought they sounded delicious and couldn't leave them out!
- Each recipe is formatted as the title of the recipe, followed by a "|" symbol and then the blog or person who it is from.
Piña Colada
This list had to start with this classic cocktail. Created in Costa Rica, more specifically in San Juan, you only need three ingredients to achieve a mouthwatering drink with this easy recipe: coconut cream, pineapple juice, and light rum.
